Welcome to the Business Management Administration program at the WMCTC:

Students at the Career Tech Center will be exposed to a broad based overview of business applications. This course introduces a student to the Microsoft Office Suite which include: Access, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Excel, and Publisher.  Learning opportunities also encompass business office machines, multi-line phone systems, 10-key calculator, public speaking, graphic design, accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, business etiquette, as well as speaker and technology reviews.

The Business Management Administration Field:

Business skills are required in all areas of the workplace.  The business arena encompasses a variety of skills. People, raw materials advertising, graphic promotion, presentational skills, and information technology are the foundations of business success. Economics, market forces, and legalities affect the global marketplace. To be successful in business, you have to be knowledgeable in these  areas.

Student Organizations/Community Enrichment:

Business Professionals of America (BPA) is a national career and technical student organization consisting of 23 state associations and more than 54,000 members. The organization serves students who are currently, or were previously enrolled, in a business education program at a secondary or postsecondary institution. Chapters are located in high schools, career/technical centers, postsecondary technical institutions, junior and community colleges, and colleges and universities. In addition to competitions, which take place on the regional, state, and national levels, members are involved in numerous leadership and community service projects on the local and state level. Each year, many members participate in the Torch Awards Program, a program that promotes leadership skills, community service and civic awareness. The Michigan Association adopted the American Cancer Society as its state service organization. Special Olympics is our national service organization.
