This policy is developed to guide the activities of all students and staff accessing Network and Internet resources as a part of their educational or work experience.

The purpose of the is policy is to facilitate network and internet access (all referred to as "Network"), for educational purposes for the staff and students where appropriate.  As such, this access should (1) assist in the collaboration and exchange of information, (2) facilitate personal growth in the use of technology, and (3) enhance information gathering and communication skills.  For the purpose of this policy, "user" includes both staff and students.

The Wexford-Missaukee Intermediate School District (WMISD) recognizes the value of computer and other electronic resources to improve student learning and enhance the administration and operation of its schools. To this end, the WMISD Board of Education encourages the responsible use of computers; computer networks, including the Internet; and other electronic resources in support of the mission and goals of the WMISD.
