The Northern Michigan Learning Consortium (NMLC) founded in 1990, includes in its membership thirteen intermediate school districts, five community colleges, and five state universities. The consortium membership serves twenty-seven counties in the northern lower peninsula. Its mission is to coordinate professional development opportunities for educators, facilitate school improvement initiatives, and help school districts build their capacity to serve.
